Hi Cynthia, so glad to find your site and another tomato lover in Texas. I own TOMATOMANIA!, an heirloom (and hybrid too) seedling sale in California. I'd like to have events in Texas (we're now in Ca and CT, soon to be in KY, LA and NC) - so where should we aim first?! Good luck with those seeds! Check outour site at tomatomania.com. Have a great spring.

Hi Scott - you might try gardenweb.com and go to the tomato forum - there are lots of folks from TX on that site.

Cynthia,

I agree with you that there is something "funny" about store-bought tomatoes. I get a feeling they were conceived in test tubes using strange additives. I try to steer clear of them. Thankfully, we have lots of local farm stands where I live - so I can get my fill of thick, juicy, garden-fresh tomatoes. Wish you could send me some of your beauties!

Dina
